Vibrant Communities Edmonton (VCE) is a
non-profit corporation that collaborates with a wide
range of business, community and government partners
to build economic success for low income working
families.
VCE has a rich history of collaborating with
businesses to achieve win-win solutions through
initiatives like the Job Bus and Make Tax Time Pay.
VCE is also a member of the Edmonton Chamber of
Commerce.
Employers of people who earn low wages are often
faced with higher costs as a result of absenteeism,
late arrival at work, and high turnover. Employee
issues such as lack of transportation, housing and
reliable child care are often beyond the scope of
most employers to deal with on their own.
The Job Bus
helps employers build a committed work force by
addressing the problem of timely transportation for
low-income employees to the job site. This
initiative helps
businesses reduce recruitment, turnover and training
cost.
Working
families have increased their income through
Make Tax Time Pay. This
initiative provides
solutions to employees lacking access to child
health and adult health care, child care, and
recreation benefits and subsidies by assisting them
with free tax preparation and benefit/subsidy
application assistance. If your company would like
to host a site for your employees
